Will Merrill took to the comedy stage for the very first time. Going first at the local Baton Rouge Open Mic, he impressed the audience and other comedians with his wit, creativity, and delivery. Although it was not his best work, it gave him the confidence to continue on the path of stand-up comedy.
Since then, Merrill has been performing mostly along the gulf coast, from comedy clubs to unconventional venues. He brings his unique style of comedy being a husband and girl dad, and still a full-time civil service employee.
Will released his first comedy album entitled Wirk: The Album on all streaming platforms in 2019. It debuted in the top five albums on iTunes, and continues to get consistent streams today. In 2024, he released another special named Randumb on YouTube.
